The Contacts Page is the first thing you see when browsing through your Actionetics dashboard.
It contains a list of all contacts who have signed up to any one or more funnels in this tool so far, and their current status with regards to unsubscribes and new subscribers/subscribers acquired. You can even filter these lists by dates as well!
This area is where users can import contacts from their phone or email.
The Contacts feature in Actionetics will allow people to export their contact list so they can sync it with other devices.
The Contacts Dashboard is a way to customize the information that you see about your contacts. You can choose what information displays on their profile, such as Action Score, Age or Gender by ticking boxes in this list of customizable options.
Next up on the Contacts Dashboard, you will see that your saved contacts are all displayed to provide an understanding of every contact. This section shows each person’s social media links and also what kind of email they prefer for marketing campaigns.
With this section, you can answer questions like how many people bought a product in the last six months and what their average purchase time is. This information will help you learn about your customers’ interests to make more effective marketing campaigns.
The Contact Profile Dashboard is a powerful tool for you to analyse and come up with new marketing strategies. This dashboard can help you identify who your prospects are, what they like or dislike about the service/product, and how successful their experience was in using it.
You can now create more personalized messages for your customers by using Tags on their profiles. This is great because you will be able to send hyper-targeted marketing messages that are tailored precisely according to a specific behaviour in the customer’s funnel.
This is one of the most innovative features in Actionetics, as I have noticed it was not present previously. This feature only launched last December and has already been a lifesaver for me on more than one occasion!
I was thrilled to discover Actionetics had tags that would enable me to better target my audience.
To make your marketing funnels a little more engaging, you’ll want to tag each step. It’s as easy as going into the funnel and picking whichever steps or sections of the process that you would like tagged – just go to Settings > Integrations.
The next thing to do is to have these tags act as filters in your action funnel, optimizing the prompt and clarifying intent.
Select Integration. In this case, it’s actionetics.
Select action – Add Tag. Note: You can also add the action “Remove Tag” as well.
Add the name of the tag. Save.
- Action Score
The Action Score is the most noticeable thing about a contact’s profile.
The Action Score rates how valuable a contact is to your business. This score takes into account four factors: recency, frequency, monetary value and social scores.
The insights this app provides into the online behavior of your contacts can help you know what to do in order to make engaging with them all that much easier.
You can see the contact’s Action Score, for that just hover over the display and focus on the markers in it. If that doesn’t work for you or if its too much of a hassle just refer to their report above!
- Edit Details
This section allows you to edit your contact’s details such as the full name, first name, last name, phone number and shipping address. This is also where you will find the Archive Settings which allow you to archive a contact if necessary.
The Purchases section lets you in on your contact’s shopping activities. You can also manually add products to allow them access, but the last 30 days haven’t been very fruitful for this contact!
By clicking the membership section you can see which funnels your contact has signed up to. This is great because it allows you to target the right message for each individual and make sure they are getting what they want out of their subscription!
- Marketing Automation
Discover which broadcasts, email lists, and action funnels your contact belongs to!
This section will show you all the emails that have been sent to this person as well as what they signed up for.
- Recent Activity
You can see when your contacts have visited a specific page of the funnel you created.
- Additional Info
This section includes important information such as CF Affiliate Information, Utm Source (e.g., Google), and UTM Mediums (e.g., Facebook).
Our contact hasn’t made any purchases or joined memberships that are worth noting.
Do note that this contact is fairly new. So if you want to study and analyse your market, it would be best not to do so with them for now until they have more time as well. Doing the research on a newer account will yield some significant data in due time!
2. Email Lists
The Email List is a fantastic way to keep up with the latest Actionetics features.
Contacts can be segmented by a variety of different criteria, including lists and categories.
There are many different needs for email lists. Be it marketing, lead nurturing or anything else you might need to send out an email as a message and the list will vary depending on what your focus is at that moment in time.
This is important if you want to be able to send messages with a personalized touch.
Just like any other autoresponder, you’ll be able to build an email list for whichever product/service/campaign you want. But we also offer a variety of cool features that will get your business really going! For instance:
Creating email lists is a breeze with features like an easy-to-navigate interface, templates that can be customized to your needs for all the major event planners
on earth, and more.
Simply Click Add New List.
Enter the information requested, if available. In this case, only your email list name is needed.
Upload the .csv file with the contacts and the information and follow the instructions.
You can import any list of contacts into your Actionetics account and create a new email campaign, or you could download an existing list in .csv format to use it with other marketing tools.
With the help of this email marketing tool, you can create and send out personalized emails to your customers.
The Broadcasts section does just that.
Send emails to your contacts without a hitch. Actionetics has an intuitive UI that allows you to schedule when and where they go, so never forget about them again!
The Broadcast dashboard not only allows you to monitor the number of emails sent and clicks, but also unsubscribers. The best part is that it provides simple metrics for a specific period (last 7 days, last 30 days) or all-time as well.
You’ll find the list of sent emails, broadcast drafts and it’s where you begin creating email broadcasts to send. All you will find out by clicking the button named “New Email Broadcasts”!
You will be directed to another page, so you can make your broadcast email.
- Enter the email subject line
- Enter the email list(s) of customers whom you want to send the email to
- Enter the SMTP Configuration
- You can also override the SMTP existing From Name in this section bar and add a different name
- This section is where you can enter email addresses to send test emails to
- Email sent immediately OR you can also schedule it for a later date
In order to enter the information you need, please choose from a selection of templates.
The email system is populated with content, making it easy to share your message!
You might be wondering what to do next. If you’ve chosen the template, then go ahead and click on Open Email Editor!
It’s easy to customize your emails with ClickFunnels. Simply click the elements you want to edit and insert text, images, or videos for a better email campaign!
There’s no need to struggle with formatting your email when you want to share a few more details. One-click and boom, it’ll be formatted in the color of your choice!
And a menu of different options from the menubar to choose from will pop up.
Once you’re happy with your email, click Save and Close. It’s that easy! Remember to test it out before sending the message so make sure everything is in order first though 😉
So many people think that email marketing is complicated, but in reality it’s not! With just these simple steps you can create your own email broadcast with ease.

I love Actionetics! The email editor is one of the best I’ve ever used. It has an easy to use interface and features that other autoresponders, like ActiveCampaign or Infusionsoft don’t offer. For example, it allows you to customize your emails in a way that suits your needs: be more conversational with recipients who are close friends but keep things formal for those on the corporate side.
4. Action Funnels
The Action Funnels is the cherry on top of everything that makes up the suite of features. This is where most automation processes are set and it’s one thing you can’t live without if your business needs a lot more organization to succeed.
Creating an action funnel is easy, go to the Actionetics menu, and from the dropdown select “Actions Funnels.”
Next is to click New Action Funnel.
That time an input field will pop-up and prompt you to fill in the required information asked. In my case, I just added the name of this Action Funnel and chose a list for it to assign emails too. Remember not only to set up your action funnel’s configuration but also include what type of email is being assigned here!
Click on the Create Action Funnel when you are ready.
A new action funnel is like a blank slate. You can populate it with all sorts of actions and options to get the most done in less time!
A new Action Funnel has been created. It’s time to add a step! Click the Add Step button, and you’ll be asked for an action name. You can also decide how long before the trigger should go off (days or hours), as well as what type of notification will happen when it does – send email, text message, etcetera
Once you have all the settings just right, it’s time to click Add New Funnel.
Send an email to your customers with just a few clicks! Funnel triggers make it easy.
-Choose from over thirty templates or create and design one of your own
-Add images, links, videos, hashtags – whatever you want
-Send the perfect message for every customer
If you want to get a clear view of how this template will look, all you have to do is hover your cursor over the thumbnail and click Preview!
Once you’ve selected a template for your email, go ahead and populate it with content. The process is similar to creating broadcast emails on the Broadcasts section of Campaigns so this task will be fairly easy if you already started making broadcasts in that area.
TIP: Must change the setting from paused to live.
Just click on the clickable word named “paused” just below the email subject line.
Select the “live” from the dropdown menu.
Turn your customers into a bunch of texting addicts by integrating ClickFunnels with Twilio and adding text message triggers in the form of TXT messages.
Choose a “Do Action” trigger to get the most out of your app. After naming the step and choosing Do Action as a trigger, click Add New Funnel Step for more customization options!
You will be redirected to this page. Click Setup Now.
You will be given a popup where you can configure the desired action. You have complete control over what you want to call this one and which email list it should be triggered by as well.
Now you can trigger and filter your actions according to rule groups.
There are many different combinations of rule groups available in Action Funnels, all categorised into seven different types. You can designate a custom group for every step of your action funnel- and it’s super easy!
You can create an unlimited number of rule groups in one action funnel with the Custom Group.
There are seven rule groups available:
- Email Step
The Social rule group is the most important of all because it filters actions according to how many followers a contact has on social media.
To make it easier to stay connected with the people in your life, one can filter their contacts on social media. This includes a wide selection of different platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Google Plus
- Tungle Me
The Contact rule group allows you to filter who can receive the action based on contact information. It’s an easy way for marketers to ensure that their campaigns are going out only to people they want them sent to.
This information include:
- Action Score
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Full Name
- Zip Code
- Shipping Address
- Shipping City
- Shipping State
- Shipping Country
- Shipping Zip
- Location General
- Normalized Location
- Deduced Location
- Age Range Lower
- Age Range Upper
- Has Tag
In the Funnel rule group, your messages will be funneled to one person at a time based on whether they have visited a specified path in your conversion process.
When you set up a rule for your product, it will automatically filter which contacts are eligible to receive the given action based on whether or not they have bought that particular product in your funnel.
The Broadcasts rule group will help you to filter out the type of emails that your contacts receive.
These actions include:
- Opened Broadcast
- Never Opened Broadcast
- Clicked Broadcast
- Never Clicked Broadcast
You can use rules to automate your marketing messages, whether you want them in email form or through other methods like SMS and voicemail. You also have the power to create follow-up reminders for these communications with targeted recipients!
The first rule group is the Lists rule group. This specific set of rules filters who receives an action based on what mailing list they’re subscribed to.
The last of the rule groups is comprised solely by email actions. This group filters based on whether a contact has taken action, such as clicking links or opening an attachment with their mouse.
The conditions include:
- Opened Email Step
- Never Opened Email Step
- Clicked Email Step
- Never Clicked Email Step
The idea of a broadcast can be related to both groups because they are about one email that is sent out at once. However, there are differences between these two types if thinking in terms with steps which concern more on particular sequences or information being given simultaneously rather than individually.
The idea of having to follow one set rule, is a thing of the past. With every action funnel step you have the ability to customise and create your own Custom Group by group together various combinations of rules with ease!
